Manu's Oddity - gaming devices you don't see every day

The column from the pages of Retro Rewind will come alive at Skrolli Party, as Manu arrives to present an assortment of the oddest game consoles from his collection. You can even try out these curiosities!

Skrolli Party demoshow

Skrolli Party has been held five times previously and we have amazing entries from many different compos. If you missed a previous party, now's your chance to see the best entries on a big screen!

Hands Deep - a journey into the demoscene -documentary & Q&A

This recent documentary offers a tour of demoscene and its significant impact on Finnish game industry and competence in information technology. It's also a reminder of the values of demoscene - community, creativity and noncommerciality - in an era where technology is dominated by megacorporations.

The director, Anne-Mari Musturi, tells how the documentary has been received and what kinds of future projects are being planned.

The documentary is mostly in Finnish but English subtitles are available.

Your vote matters - behind the scenes of partysystems

Compos and voting are an integral part of demoscene. Just finishing an entry is a victory for many, but in addition visitors choose the best entries by voting for their favorites in a party system. How do these systems work? Who are their creators and developers?

Hear about the backgrounds of three different party systems from T-101 (Partyman), tdb (Comporunner) and Naetti tyttoe (PartyBoi). The discussion is moderated by Myy / Jumalauta, who is a long time voter at many different demo parties.
